LEARN TO SKATE CLASSES
The Snowplow 1-4, Basic 1-6, and Adult 1-9 Learn To Skate Classes teach new skaters the basics of figure skating, helping skaters to build a strong foundation in which to continue mastering the sport of figure skating.
The Parent/Tot program is for children ages 3-6 to explore the world of ice skating! There will be on-ice games and children's music! Participants can be accompanied by 1 parent/guardian on the ice. Complimentary skate rental with the smallest skate size 8 kids available.
The Home School Classes are open to any Home School individual. Class will cover Basic 1-6, Freestyle classes, or Hockey skills depending on what the skater is working on.
FREESTYLE
Skaters who have passed Basic 6 can enter into the High Performance Group Freestyle Classes. Skaters will be split into groups by level, and will work on jumps, spins and Moves in the Field. Our High Performance Group Freestyle Classes are designed to build a stronger, more well-rounded skater.
THEATRE ON ICE COLLEGIATE TEAM - NEW in 2026!
Be a founding member of the Delaware Theatre On Ice Inaugural Collegiate Team!
Theater On Ice is one of the fastest growing disciplines of team skating, and we are excited to bring a collegiate team to Delaware to compete at Nationals. This is your chance to be a part of the inaugural team and help us create an exciting and rewarding program that we plan to develop and grow more with each season.
About Theatre On Ice:
Theatre On Ice is a discipline of figure skating that blends the athleticism of skating with the dramatic and artistic elements of theater and dance. Together, the team of 8-24 skaters collaborate to tell a story or express a theme through skating, choreography, and music. It provides an outlet for figure skaters who are more artistically inclined or who want to experience the team-based camaraderie that is often lacking in individual competition.
About Competitions:
A Theater On Ice competition consists of two programs:
Choreographic Exercise - Similar to a traditionally known, “short program”, this program is focused on the team demonstrating required movements and using body language to convey a theme.
Free Skate - Similar to a traditionally known, “long program”, this program is more elaborate and incorporates theatrical flair with technical elements. The team will use costuming, props, and scenery to enhance their storytelling.
