What is the difference between intramural sports and club sports?
Intramural sports provide an opportunity for participants of all skill levels to engage in structured competition at a recreational level. Teams are comprised of university members that compete against other UD teams on campus throughout the week.
Club sports teams are student run organizations that provide an opportunity to engage in structured competition at a level other than the intramural or varsity level. Teams can compete socially or at local, regional, and national events. Joining a club team allows you to continue your athletic career while meeting and having fun with other like-minded individuals. How do I find a team?
The easiest way to get involved is to form a team of your own with floormates, co-workers, RSO group members or other friends prior to the registration deadline. If you do not have enough players to form a team, you can register as a free agent for the chance to be picked up by another team.
What is the time commitment?
Teams will play four regular season games over a four week period and then there will be a post-season tournament for teams that are eligible to advance.
Are there any fees?
Players will be required to pay a player registration fee. The fees will be set as low as possible. We offer semester or annual memberships. These memberships will allow you to play on as many teams as you want for the semester or year.
Why am I ineligible?
We shifted payment to a membership system in our online system, there's now no need to pay to join a team. You can purchase a semester or annual Intramural Membership online, once you purchase re-log into IMLeagues and your eligibility should reset. More Information here.
What happens if I miss the registration deadline?
Teams should meet the registration deadline to earn a spot in the league. Teams that do not meet the registration deadline will be put on a waitlist. If teams forfeit out of the league, teams on the waitlist will be moved into their spots.

Are there employment opportunities with the Intramural program?
Yes, the program hires sports officials. All training is done on site; prior certifications or experience is not required. Read more about the employment opportunities and apply here.
