The High Performance Figure Skating Center at the University of Delaware is one of the world's leading training sites. The center is a year-round training facility designed to meet the needs of first-time competitors and champions alike. Its primary mission is to assist athletes and coaches in reaching their maximum potential.

Top Notch Coaching Staff

The coaching staff at the High Performance Figure Skating Center ranks among the most recognized nationally and internationally for figure skating, with several coaches inducted in the Professional Skaters Association Hall of Fame. Their concentrations include Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Pairs, Ice Dance, Choreography and Stroking. University faculty work closely with World and Olympic coaches to advance the body of knowledge in figure skating. Through cooperative efforts, they provide students with the most up-to-date training program available.

The University of Delaware is committed to the development of the sport of figure skating at all levels. Whether you are new to the sport of figure skating or a seasoned veteran ready to return to competition, the University of Delaware High Performance Figure Skating Center coaching staff can help. Feel free to contact the coaches directly in order to determine a good fit for your skating needs. Coaches are not associated with the University of Delaware; coaches are independent of the University.

2025/2026 Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer High Performance Ice Schedule

Skaters at the High Performance Training Center can utilize the Fred Rust and Gold Arenas Monday-Friday and Sundays. The times can be found here. 
If you plan on attending any of our High Performance Sessions, please complete the waiver for the 2025-2026 year. Add UDHPC to the Group/Organization. 
If you plan on attending any of our High Performance Sessions, please complete a parking pass for the 2025-2026 year.


2025/2026 Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer High Performance Session Tickets and Plans

You can purchase individual session tickets or ticket books which have 10 single session tickets. These can be purchased in person at the UD Ice Arena Business Office located in the Fred Rust ice Arena lobby, credit only. The Business Office is open: Monday-Thursday Gold Arena 11:00am-4:00pm, Rust Arena 4:00pm-6:00pm, Friday Gold Arena 11:00am-5:00pm & Sundays Rust Arena 9:30am-12:30pm.

Guest & Player Behavioral Guidelines:

We are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience at the ice arena for all guests and players. Guests and/or players exhibiting inappropriate behavior (i.e. using foul or abusive language, making abusive gestures, or appearing intoxicated) are subject to ejection from the arena. Repeat offenses will result in the loss of arena privileges, including teams not being able to use the arena. If you observe a problem, please contact an arena staff member or public safety officer immediately. To assist with this endeavor, guests and players are asked to abide by the following Behavioral Guidelines:

  • Guests should not take any action that inhibits the progress of any game or event.

  • Guests and players should avoid the use of foul, racist, sexist, abusive language, and refrain from making any obscene gestures.

  • Guests should refrain from any display of inappropriate affection in a public setting.

  • Only authorized individuals may enter the ice surface and other restricted areas, and guests must refrain from entering such areas without proper authorization.

  • Guests should follow all local, state, or federal laws and will follow the instructions of event staff.
