Department Card Membership

Please follow the steps below to gain access to the Carpenter Sports Building. Any further questions should be directed to your department. 

 1. Obtain a UD ID Card

- To access the facility, you must have a UD ID card. The department you are working with will need to request from the ID Office, reference the section "Am I eligible for a UD ID Card?"

2. Request Access to the Carpenter Sports Building

- Once you have your UD ID card, you will need to have it activated for access to the building. There is a fee for access. This can be done one of two ways.

· OPTION ONE: Your department can choose to cover the fee. You will need to discuss further with them.  The department should contact Campus Recreation recreation@udel.edu.

· OPTION TWO: You can bring your UD ID card to the cashier's office in the Carpenter Sports Building and pay for your access to the facility.

3. Access for Spouse and Dependents

- The UD member must present their UD ID and marriage certificate to purchase membership for their spouse.  There is a fee for access.

- All dependents, of a valid ID card holder, under the age of 18 are able to access the facility. Please note that all dependents must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.  The parent or guardian must stay with the child at all times.  Children are not allowed to be in the weight room areas.
