Club Archery

753
The Archery Club team is designed for students who have the hobby of archery or are interested in trying it out - members can be as casual or competitive as they like. No experience is necessary, and any equipment needed is provided by the club. Practices are held at a nearby range twice a week. We are the first USA Archery affiliated team in the state of Delaware, and compete against other schools in the area as well as among ourselves. Personal equipment and some prior experience is preferred for archers looking to compete outside of the club.

PLEASE NOTE: Archery equipment is not permitted on campus. Students with their own equipment must arrange to have it stored safely somewhere else.

Requirements
  • Members must pay dues, amount is calculated at the beginning of each academic year.
  • Must attend safety training provided by range before attending practices.
  • Must follow all range safety rules.
Practice Information
  • The team holds two practices per week at New Castle 100 Archers, about a fifteen minute drive from campus. Members carpool there and back.
  • Practices consist of shooting for score for a semester-long Club competition, playing games with other archers, or independent shooting. More experienced members also teach new members how to improve their abilities.
