2017 (JUNIOR): Pitched in 33 games for the Aggies, including one start... posted a 7-2 record with a 2.33 ERA, three saves, 72 strikeouts (16 walks) and a .204 opponent batting average in 77.1 innings... notched a 5-0 record in SEC play with a 2.08 ERA and a .165 opponent batting average... made his first career start against Incarnate Word (3/1)... pitched in relief on short rest against TCU (3/4) and pitched 6.1 innings, fanning seven in the extra-inning affair... notched three consecutive scoreless appearances against UTRGV (3/8), Brown (3/10) and Texas (3/14)... worked 2.0 perfect innings against Vanderbilt (3/24)... earned his third win of the season in a relief outing against No. 11 Auburn, throwing 3.2 innings of two-hit baseball with four strikeouts (4/8)... didn’t allow a hit over 11.1 consecutive innings in SEC play (4/13-5/4)... also put together a string of 26.1 consecutive scoreless innings (4/4-5/16)... worked 4.0 blank frames in a series at Alabama (4/13-15), including picking up a victory in the finale (4/15)... earned a win against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/25), scattering two hits and one walk while striking out one in 3.0 innings... threw 4.2 perfect innings in a win at Missouri (4/28), including a career-high eight strikeouts... allowed just one hit while striking out four in 3.0 innings of scoreless relief in a series against Mississippi State (5/4-6)... picked up a victory at Ole Miss (5/12), scattering two hits while striking out five in 3.2 blank frames... pitched in all seven of Texas A&M’s NCAA Championship games, notching three saves, a 1.32 ERA and 11 strikeouts (0 walks) in 13.2 innings of work... earned save against Baylor (6/2) at the NCAA Houston Regional, allowing one hit in 3.2 shutout innings... retired the only batter he faced to earn save against Iowa (6/3)... clinched Aggies’ Super Regional triumph over Davidson (6/10), earning the save with three strikeouts in 2.0 blank frames... worked 7.0 scoreless innings at the College World Series (6/18-20), scattering four hits while striking out eight... allowed one hit while striking out two in 1.2 innings against Louisville (6/18)... scattered three hits while striking out six in 5.1 innings against TCU (6/20)... selected by the New York Mets in the 32nd round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
