LIL BOB MEMBERSHIPS

Membership Options

Please see below for a list of membership options for the Carpenter Sports Building (Lil Bob). Membership to the facility provides access to the main student fitness center (3 floors), indoor pool, two multi-purpose gymnasiums (indoor soccer (3), basketball (5), volleyball (6) and badminton), CrossFit box, four activity rooms, spin studio, climbing wall, four racquetball courts, one squash court, locker rooms with showers, and more. Group fitness classes, personal training, UD CROSSFIT, and intramural sports are also available for an additional fee.

Winter and Summer Access 

All students planning to use the Little Bob during winter or summer sessions should check this page to ensure they will have access to the facility.

Undergraduate Student
Comprehensive fee-paying full/part-time undergraduate students and continuing education students receive access to the building during the semester or special session in which the fee applies. In semesters or special session in which an active student is not paying the comprehensive fee, access can be purchased for $25.  For example, a student in summer not taking classes. Check this page to ensure you have access to the facility.

Full Time Graduate Student
Recreation fee-paying full-time graduate students receive access to the building during the semester in which the fee applies. (current active FT Graduate students also receive access in the special session following the semester in which they are active and paying the Recreation fee. This does not apply in the session after graduation).

Part Time Graduate Student
Part-time graduate students (including students on sustaining status) must pay a $25 fee to access the building each semester and special session.

Faculty/Staff
Full-time UD faculty/staff receive access to the building. Eligibility for Faculty/Staff members is determined by their personnel class. Please contact HR or the ID office if you have questions about obtaining an ID card.

Staff Spouse
Spouses of eligible UD staff/faculty members receive access to the building. Please reach out to HR to begin the process to obtain a spouse UD ID card. Click here for more information.

Department Card Holders
Anyone with a department UD ID card can receive access to the facility for a fee. (EX. miscellaneous wage employees or visiting scholars). If you need a department card, follow the steps listed here.

OLLI
OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) members can receive access to the building by paying a fee.

Conference
External groups on campus for a conference can receive assess to the building during the conference for a fee.

Card Holder Spouse 
Spouses of card holders (student, department card and alumni) can also receive access to the facility for a fee. The card holder must provide their UD ID card and a copy of their marriage certificate to the cashier to purchase. Please note that this does not include faculty/staff spouses.

Alumni
UD Alumni can receive access to the facility for a fee.  Purchases can be made at the cashier's window in the Lil Bob. Online purchases for alumni that graduated after 2018 are available here.
